Express Entry

Canadian Immigration Consultant In Lahore-Express Entry

Express Entry, launched by the Government of Canada in 2015, is a system designed to manage applications from skilled immigrants seeking permanent residence. To start the process, you need to express your interest by submitting a profile to the Express Entry pool. Periodically, the government invites eligible candidates from four specific categories to apply for permanent residence.

The four categories currently processed through Express Entry are:

  1. Federal Skilled Worker Program
  2. Federal Skilled Trades Program
  3. Canadian Experience Class
  4. Provincial Nominee Programs (certain provincial programs)

To be considered, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria of one of these categories.

Once in the Express Entry pool, candidates compete for points out of a maximum of 1200. These points are awarded based on a range of skills and qualifications, using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The CRS ranks candidates according to their scores in the pool.

Candidates can earn up to 600 points from core factors and up to 600 additional points. The core points are divided into three subcategories:

  1. Human Capital Factors: Age, education, work experience, and language skills.
  2. Spouse or Common-law Partner Factors: If applicable, the qualifications of a spouse or common-law partner.
  3. Skills Transferability: Combinations of education and work experience, among others.

The additional points can be earned through factors such as a valid job offer, a provincial nomination, Canadian education, and other adaptability factors.

Understanding the Express Entry system and how points are awarded can significantly enhance your chances of being invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada. By carefully preparing your profile and maximizing your CRS score, you can improve your prospects of making Canada your new home.

Pre-Requisites:

Applicants who meet the education, age, and experience criteria for Express Entry must fulfill several prerequisites before submitting their application. These prerequisites include:

  1. Language Proficiency Test: Proof of language proficiency is mandatory for all applicants, regardless of whether they come from an English or French-speaking country or have an education from Canada or another English-speaking nation.

  2. Educational Credential Assessment (ECA): Any foreign qualifications, except those awarded by Canadian universities and colleges, must be evaluated for equivalency in Canada.

Language proficiency is a crucial requirement for anyone applying for Canadian permanent residence as a skilled worker. This ensures that all applicants, irrespective of their background, meet the Canadian language standards necessary for integration into the workforce and society.

Additionally, an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) is required for all foreign educational qualifications. This assessment confirms that your foreign degrees, diplomas, or certificates are equivalent to Canadian standards, ensuring that your education is recognized in Canada.

Meeting these prerequisites is essential for a successful Express Entry application, helping to streamline the process and improve your chances of becoming a permanent resident of Canada. By preparing thoroughly and ensuring all requirements are met, you can enhance your prospects of a smooth and successful immigration journey.

ASSESSMENT PROCESS FOR CANADIAN IMMIGRATION BY IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT (IRCC)
1. ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT

As a first step applicants are assessed for their eligibility in the said class of immigration.

2. ADMISSIBILITY ASSESSMENT

After completing the eligibility review, applicants and their accompanying family members undergo an admissibility assessment according to the Canadian Immigration & Refugees Protection Act. The duration of this process can vary based on the applicant’s country of origin, country of application, and other factors.

Seven factors that can render an applicant inadmissible for Canadian permanent residence are:

  1. Security Concerns
  2. Human or International Rights Violations
  3. Serious Criminality
  4. Organized Criminality
  5. Health Issues
  6. Financial Reasons
  7. Misrepresentation

The admissibility assessment ensures that all individuals seeking to enter Canada meet the necessary legal and health standards. This thorough process aims to maintain the safety and integrity of Canadian society. Understanding these factors and ensuring compliance can help applicants navigate the immigration process more smoothly, enhancing their chances of achieving permanent residency in Canada.

Settlement Funds (2023)

To immigrate to Canada, applicants must demonstrate they have sufficient funds to support themselves and their family members. The required amounts, in Canadian dollars, are as follows:

  • 1 family member: $13,757
  • 2 family members: $17,127
  • 3 family members: $21,055
  • 4 family members: $25,564
  • 5 family members: $28,994
  • 6 family members: $32,700
  • 7 family members: $36,407

For families larger than seven, add $3,706 for each additional member.

These financial requirements ensure that newcomers have the means to support themselves while they settle into their new life in Canada. By meeting these standards, applicants can enhance their prospects of a successful immigration process.
